Sea View
12th September
Okay folks global warming should hopefully make this an extension of the summer rides, so let’s hit the coast - again!
Meet at Warr’s on the King’s Road from 9am for coffee and some banter, the briefing will follow at 9.30 (please fuel up before you arrive).
Leaving Warr’s behind it’s the usual grind to escape London town but soon enough the countryside will arrive, we’ll be travelling south just not quite to St Tropez! Surrey and West Sussex still offer some great biking roads and this is where our fun will be.
With a half way stop for tea and coffee (approx 36 miles) our minds can now wander to the coastal air that will soon be coming, our eventual destination will be Dell Quay near Chichester.
The Crown & Anchor offers a great view over the boats in Chichester harbour with a sailing club right next door. We have a reserved area to park on arrival as it is generally very busy at the quayside - in the pub we’ll have a reserved area for seating and also outside there will be a bbq too, so they can cater for all tastes.
The ride distance is approximately 80 miles and so should be suitable for all types of Harley Davidson.
I’ll be leading with fellow C&F Road Captain Les Channing acting as tail end Charlie, ok tail end Les then!
Hopefully by this point in the year any new members will have had a chance to experience C&F ride-outs already. Fear not though, we’re a friendly bunch and if this is your first run then please come and say hello before the briefing and we’ll make sure you feel at home with us.
As this is an official ride it qualifies towards the C&F riders patch and the Precious Metal Rockers, more here Chelsea & Fulham Riders
Nearer the date of this ride if you intend having lunch at the Crown and Anchor it would help if I can get an idea of numbers, so a quick line to me at chairman@mvsroadar.org.uk would be appreciated.
Ride Leader: Nick Deal - C&F Road Captain
