Breathless Beachy Head

15th August

You may not need your Speedos for this one - but a head for heights may come in handy...

Meet at Warr’s on the King’s Road from 9am for coffee and some banter, the briefing will follow at 9.30 (please fuel up before you arrive).

Leaving Warr’s, we’ll head down the A3 onto the A24 and past Rikers.

Ambling south on the A24 we’ll make a left onto the Pocket-Rocket-Parkway - the A272. With a half way stop near Haywards Heath we can almost begin to smell the sea breeze of the south coast.

We will stop briefly in a car park by the cliff-tops for photo opportunities - then onwards to www.vintageinn.co.uk/thebeachyheadeastbourne for lunch.

I shall be leading with fellow C&F Road Captain, Andrew Papas acting as Last Man and other Road Captains assisting.

This is approximately a three hour ride and will take us through mixed road conditions - not forgetting this is still holiday season for many car drivers.

As this is an official ride it qualifies towards the C&F riders patch and the Precious Metal Rockers, more here Chelsea & Fulham Riders

Nearer the date of this ride if you intend having lunch at this very good pub and restaurant, please drop me a line so I know numbers at PWAssociates@onetel.com

Please note: this ride will be also be a great opportunity to start a new fantastic pin collection including your participation in The Suzy Lamplugh Lighthouse Challenge. Click to download your Information Pack pdf...
“Ride Safe Live Safe”

As an added attraction we have laid on the final and most spectacular day of the Eastbourne Air Show. This can be viewed from the clifftop next to the Vintage Inn (www.eastbourneairshow.com)

Ride Leader: Paul Wiggins - C&F Road Captain
