Notes:
The evening meals are being provided by a local caterer as the hotel restaurant is normally closed out of season other than for breakfast. Cost is approximately 60 euros per person for bed and breakfast in the hotel, plus 25 euros for dinner, excluding wine. The price of the Airbnb is subject to confirmation. The Airbnbers will have a choice of self-catering their breakfasts or meeting at the hotel. We will book taxis for them for the evening entertainments.

Steve Graham is doing the route finding, there will be a choice of routes appropriate to different weather conditions. Hopefully we'll be able to go cross country but if the weather is unsuitable, there will be a main roads route to minimise the journey time.

Numbers are very limited. Due to it being the 100th anniversary of the end of the Great War, we have only been able to book one small hotel (20 persons) and a nearby Airbnb (6 persons). In order to make it fair for all the interested participants, JW has indicated that selection for places will be by ballot.

Please register your interest in attending the Remembrance Ride in November 2018 at
remembranceride2018 ‘at’ warrs.com
Closing date for entries is 30th April 2018.

I understand that registration does not guarantee a place on this limited numbers ride and that places will be awarded by ballot - results of which to be notified in early May and the lucky applicants will be informed with full booking details including train times for outward and return journeys.

Ride leaders will include Andrew Papas, Steve Graham and myself.

Finally

To participate in this event each rider will need to have achieved a C&F Silver Rocker.

We are going abroad in NOVEMBER. Do not turn up in summer weight riding gear, or with untested waterproofs. I strongly recommend heated clothing if your budget can stretch to it, otherwise make sure you are wearing plenty of layers and have at least one complete dry change of clothing in addition to your party frock. The clothing department at Warr's can advise you of appropriate things to wear and make sure they fit properly etc.

We will be riding at the speed limits wherever safe and practicable to do so. With the likelihood of poor weather and not much daylight, you must be sure that your motorcycle is properly set up for this use including a correctly adjusted headlamp. The service department at Warr's can help out if you are unsure or need a service or some new tyres etc before we go.
